EuroJackpot
Lottery Overview & Statistics
EuroJackpot is a European transnational lottery launched in 2012, currently operating across 18 participating countries. It uses the same 5/50 + 2/12 matrix as EuroMillions, producing an identical jackpot probability of 1:139,838,160. Despite structural similarities, EuroJackpot and EuroMillions are entirely separate games with independent prize pools.
The jackpot starts at EUR 10 million and rolls over until won, subject to a cap of EUR 120 million. Once the cap is reached, the full jackpot prize cascades to the next winning tier until a winner is confirmed at the top level. This cascade mechanism ensures prize money is always distributed.
Participating countries include Germany, Finland, Denmark, Slovenia, Croatia, Iceland, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Hungary, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Netherlands, Norway, Sweden, Italy, Poland, and Spain. The broad geographic spread gives EuroJackpot a combined eligible population comparable to EuroMillions.
Game Format & Rules
The EuroJackpot game format requires players to select five main numbers from 1 to 50 and two Euro Numbers from 1 to 12. The draw uses two separate drums, maintaining statistical independence between the main draw and the Euro Numbers pool.
Jackpot probability is 1:139,838,160 per ticket combination. The total number of possible outcomes across all prize tiers is fixed by the combinatorial mathematics of the 5/50 and 2/12 pools. System entries allow coverage of multiple combinations at proportional ticket cost.
Online ticket submission is accepted until the platform-specified cut-off prior to each draw. Results are published via official EuroJackpot channels immediately following each draw event, with third-party result aggregators receiving simultaneous data feeds.
Prize Structure & Odds Analysis
EuroJackpot has twelve prize tiers. The Tier 1 jackpot requires matching five main numbers and both Euro Numbers, with odds of 1:139,838,160. Tier 2 (five main + one Euro Number) has odds of 1:6,991,908. Tier 3 (five main, no Euro Numbers) has odds of 1:3,107,515.
The minimum guaranteed jackpot is EUR 10 million. Once the jackpot reaches EUR 120 million, no further rollovers are permitted; the full amount must be won in the next draw via the cascade rule. Lower tiers pay fixed amounts ranging from a few euros to tens of thousands.
The overall odds of winning any prize across all twelve tiers are approximately 1:26. Prize fund allocation is calculated as a percentage of total ticket sales revenue, distributed proportionally across all twelve tiers according to the EuroJackpot prize structure rules.
Draw Schedule & Deadlines
EuroJackpot draws are conducted every Tuesday and Friday at 21:00 CET (Central European Time). The ticket submission deadline is set by each participating operator, typically 60 to 90 minutes before the draw commences.
Online players can check results via the official EuroJackpot website or through their lottery account portal immediately after the draw. Result data is transmitted to authorised online retailers simultaneously with official publication.
Multi-draw subscriptions are available, enabling players to purchase entries covering up to a defined number of future draws in a single transaction, ensuring continuous participation without per-draw manual entry.
Cryptocurrency Ticket Purchases
Cryptocurrency deposits for EuroJackpot ticket purchases are supported across multiple blockchain networks. Funds are converted at the prevailing market rate at the time of deposit, and ticket entries are issued in the denominated ticket currency following settlement.
The use of cryptocurrency eliminates cross-border payment processing delays common to SEPA and card-based transactions, particularly relevant for players outside the 18 EuroJackpot participating countries who access the lottery via online platforms.
Prize withdrawals in cryptocurrency are processed at market rates applicable at the time of the withdrawal request. Players in jurisdictions with banking restrictions on gambling transactions will find crypto withdrawals a compliant and efficient alternative.
